With just under two months until its release, Team NINJA’s Dark Fantasy action game is showing off its wares in a brand new story-driven trailer that looks to give players some scintillating background on this blood-soaked fusion of folklore and history.
Wo Long’s story is set in the Later Han Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, and features real-life warlords alongside a host of demonic monsters. Players take the role of a nameless militia soldier who uncovers a dark conspiracy that sees them having to battle beasts and outmaneuver military specialists.
The game’s cinematics and combat have been supervised by Rurouni Kenshin series director Kenji Tanigaki, and look to accentuate the wildly dramatic flair of Team NINJA’s latest game.
Publisher KOEI TECMO has also revealed a pre-order bonus of special armor. Physical pre-orders get the Baihu armor, whilst digital customers will receive the Zhuque armor instead.
There’s also a limited edition steelbook available at launch which comes with its own DLC goodies in the shape of the Crown of Zhurong and the Crown of Gonggong.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will hit PC and consoles on March 16, 2023.
