Dying Light 2 was on track to being one of 2020’s biggest games before it got delayed indefinitely at the start of the year.
Since then, developer Techland hasn’t provided many updates about Dying Light 2. That all changed yesterday, when it revealed on Twitter that development on the sequel is on track.
“I can’t say anything about the date but I can confirm that the development is going on smoothly,” the recent tweet reads.
Dying Light 2 Development "going on smoothly"
While the update lacks details about how close Dying Light 2 is to completion, it’s good to hear that Techland hasn’t encountered any major hurdles since it delayed the game.
If you’re out of the loop, you can catch up on details about the upcoming zombie game by checking out its 26-minute gameplay video from E3 2019.
In it, you’ll get a good look at the game’s world, its undead inhabitants, combat, and also learn just how impactful your actions can be.
The developer has also confirmed last year that the game will receive “huge expansions” and free content following launch.
Dying Light 2 does not currently have a release date, although it’s probably safe to say that we won’t be playing it this year.
