Publisher Reef Entertainmemt and developer Teyon today released an update for first-person shooter Terminator: Resistance that adds the new Infiltrator mode alongside a free prequel comic DLC.
The Terminator: Resistance Zero Day Exploit comics DLC is a two-part story that covers the events which took place before the start of the game. Reading through them sheds light on what happened to Commander Baron and Doctor Mack.
Infiltrator mode puts you in control of a T-800 series Infiltrator unit and tasks you with taking the fight to the Resistance across a new map.
Terminator: Resistance Infiltrator Mode and Free Prequel Comic DLC
Here’s how the developer describes Terminator: Resistance’s Infiltrator mode:
- BECOME A TERMINATOR – Take on the role of an iconic T-800 series Infiltrator and utilize a wide variety of weaponry as you breach the defenses of the Resistance forces.
- KNOWLEDGE IS POWER – Build up your data banks with INTEL claimed from Resistance patrols and caches to discover the locations of key enemy strongholds.
- PURSUE AND DESTROY – Root out and eliminate the TECH-COM FIELD COMMANDER, but prepare carefully; should you fail in your mission, you’ll have to start again from the beginning.
- COMPARE YOUR TECHNIQUE - Once you’ve completed your mission, post your score on the Steam Leaderboards to contrast your methods against others across the globe.
Terminator: Resistance’s comic DLC can be found in the game’s folder which you can access by browsing local files on Steam. A PDF reader is required to access it.
The game is also discounted by 40% on Valve’s storefront until November 19.
