The Best Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Mods
Although the initial mod offering is fairly small, it’s wise to check our list of the best Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC mods regularly, as we’ll keep adding new entries. Without further ado, these are the mods that caught our attention.
Halo Reach Forge Collection Mod

Halo: Reach has been around for almost a decade which, as it turns out, is plenty of time for people to put out an outrageous amount of custom map content. The Forge Collection Mod for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC adds more than 500 custom maps, including Fat Kid, Jenga, and Indiana Jones, alongside their corresponding game modes. Needless to say, if you were worried you wouldn’t get too many hours out of the title, this mod should take up a fair bit of your time.
All Character Customizations Unlocked Mod

Some mods completely overhaul the experience, others are simple yet effective with what they offer. The All Character Customization Mod belongs to the latter category, simply letting you customize your character as you see fit without having to unlock each option individually.
Reach Menu Replacer Mod

As small an adjustment as it is, the Reach Menu Replacer Mod is one that nostalgics will want. What it does is replace the Master Chief Collection’s menu background with the original Halo: Reach animated background for that full immersion factor.
Reach Combat Evolved Mod

An ambitious effort that’s still very much a work in progress, the Reach Combat Evolved Mod aims to overhaul the Halo: Reach campaign. The mod touches on multiple aspects from the behaviour of weapons, NPCs and vehicles of both the UNSC and Covenant, to textures, entire campaign missions and beyond.
Instant Start Mod

Straight and to the point, the Instant Start Mod lets you skip all intros for that smooth, logo-free experience of booting up Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo Reach - Marine Campaign Project Mod

The Halo Reach - Marine Campaign Project mod aims to make the title’s campaign playable from the perspective of a marine, UNSC trooper or ODST, rather than that of a Spartan. The mod not only moves from a first-person to a third-person camera, but also removes shields, revamps movement and rebalances weapons to better fit the experience of being a squishy, yet nonetheless capable, marine.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Updated EULA and Monetized Mods
Developer 343 Industries reiterated its commitment to the Halo modding community by revealing that it is already working on an updated EULA that aims to better define what’s allowed when modding its titles.
“One of the most important things we must do for modding to be sustainable long term in MCC is set up some ground rules and guard rails. The first step in this is to setup a proper EULA that clearly defines what we will support being done while also maintaining the integrity of our game service and protected environments (think matchmaking). We started working on this back in November and are taking some cues from our friends on the Minecraft team and how they formed their EULA. A draft of this is in review with our legal group now.”, Senior Producer of the Publishing Team Michael Fahrny said in a post.
He also addressed the topic of monetizable mods by saying the following: “We are talking about this and not fundamentally against it, but it will come down to what we’re legally able to allow”.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available on PC via Steam, Microsoft Store and as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC.
