What mods would we recommend you use for Final Fantasy XVI? We’ve hand-picked our favorite mods for Final Fantasy 16, ones we think you should use to help Clive Rosfield take revenge and down the Dark Eikon Ifrit.
Most of these mods are for use in the single-player campaign, as Fantasy XVI doesn’t have any multiplayer options, so there’s no risk of being banned or anything like that. You see, some mods function as cheats, which would create an unfair advantage over other players who aren’t using them. These mods will help you easily progress through the story, adjust in-game settings, or give you some fresh clothing for a more stylized look in Final Fantasy 16.

The modding community is ramping up its efforts, mirroring Shiva’s boundless devotion to Hraesvelgr. Consequently, we have selected numerous mods that can serve the Rosaria realm effectively.
We plan to return every month to explore the latest creations shared by the talented community. Below is our curated list of mods that we believe will be particularly useful. A big thank you to all the authors featured on this page and to the wider community for their incredible work.
FFXVI Fix Mod
This Final Fantasy XVI mod by Nenkaai introduces several improvements designed to optimise visuals and improve system performance during gameplay. It removes the 30 FPS cap during cutscenes and photo mode. Players can now adjust the field of view (FOV) and enable frame generation in cutscenes to maintain visual fluidity. Ultrawide Monitors are now supported, and the mod removes pillarboxing and letterboxing in both borderless and fullscreen modes, giving greater support for all screen types. It includes fixes for HUD scaling and allows players to customize the HUD size to their personal preferences. You can download it here.
Higher Item Cap Mod
Lordarof has developed a mod that increases the item limit for all standard items in your inventory, allowing you to carry up to 9 potions. Currently, the mod is somewhat buggy and could benefit from a few updates to improve stability during play. Despite this, it remains a useful tool for players looking to expand their carrying capacity. You can download the mod here.
Anti-Stutter - High CPU Priority Mod
You can use this simple registry edit to enable High CPU Priority for the FFXVI executable, which should help performance if you’re struggling to get good FPS. These are normally the first mods to come out, but for good reason as it normally helps reduce stuttering on all CPUs. You can download it here.
Non-essential FFXVI Mods but still useful
Our list of the best FFXVI mods will likely grow over the coming weeks and months, so be sure to check back regularly for new additions.
