The Chant is a third-person horror action-adventure that’s releasing for the PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 today, so you may be looking to find out if it’s going to be available on Xbox Game Pass.
Unfortunately, publisher Prime Matter doesn’t appear to be making this single-player experience available on Xbox Game Pass from launch, so if you’re currently a subscriber, The Chant won’t be available on the service when it releases.
Will The Chant be on Xbox Game Pass?
Prime Matter has put its games on Xbox Game Pass before and will be launching the upcoming Gungrave G.O.R.E on the service when it releases on the 22nd of November, but unfortunately, we won’t be seeing The Chant on the service for the foreseeable future.
Brass Token is the development house behind The Chant, a small team of 20 developers put this horror adventure together, and it’s the studio’s debut title. It’s possible The Chant will be made available on Xbox Game Pass after its release, but we’ll keep you posted if anything changes over the coming months.

A colorful, psychedelic landscape surrounds players taking the role of Jess, the game’s main protagonist. To advance through The Chant’s unique and supernatural environment you’ll need to choose battles carefully and fight for survival by crafting items, using spiritual abilities and weapons.
Mike Skupa, Creative Director of The Chant said: “We’re deeply excited to release our first game and we hope others enjoy all the care and curiosity our team put into it”.
