Missions in The Cycle: Frontier often come in multiple parts, and Doing the Work is no exception. It starts with a search for an SOS Sign and continues on to a room full of loot.
This mission is part of the ICA campaign and can be started at its offices on the Station, while this guide will show you where you can find the SOS Sign and how to complete the task down on Fortuna III.
The Cycle Frontier SOS Sign Location
Part 1 of the job is remarkably easy to achieve and only requires getting eyes on the SOS Sign located around the debris below the Water Facility, on the southern part of the map shown above.
Part 2 of the mission involves heading to the Water Facility and finding 3 batteries around the facility that can be used to open a locked door.
The first 2 batteries can be found in a single room where you enter the Water Facility, and the final battery is located on the balcony of the building. These are all easy to spot because of their strong blue glow.
Once all batteries have been collected, you can plug them into the sockets found outside the building. This opens a nearby door, revealing the loot room.
