The Division 2 may not be as sleek and sci-fi-ish as its direct competitors are, but that doesn't mean there's no room for customisation here. The Division 2 Gear Dye locations are what you'll be interested in, as these items will allow you to change your gear colours on the go.
The Division 2 Gear Dye is a quick and simple solution to the problem of mismatched apparel. As soon as you unlock one, you can apply it to any and all items of clothing you've got, and you've got infinite uses of it, too! Down below, you'll learn how to spot Gear Dye locations out in the field.
The Division 2 Gear Dye Locations Guide
The Division 2 Gear Dye affords you a level of character customisation that is fairly comparable to that of the firearms you carry in the game. While you can outfit your guns with reflex sights, camo-patterns, grips, and such, you can also change your character's clothing, and then apply various Gear Dye to perfect the look you're going for.
The catch is that finding Gear Dye will be mostly completely random until you reach level 30, when a single Gear Dye will spawn in each and every orange supply crate you find hanging from trees, pillars, and so on. Before getting to level 30, though, it won't be a sure shot that you'll find a Dye in any given orange supply crate.
Aside from locating various orange supply crates as they spawn in the overworld, you can also come across Gear Dyes in the Vendor's inventory, though this is also random most of the time. The trick, then, is to reach level 30 and start increasing your Gear Score before you can expect to establish any sort of impressive Dye collection.
