Once you’ve met Bunny in The First Descendant, she will need your help tracking down some records in the “Follow Their Traces” Quest.
If you need help finding the records for Bunny’s parents, head to the Restricted Zone in the Sterile Lands. The location is on a cliff and can be tricky to find; it took us about 30-40 minutes to locate the recording device.
How to complete Their Traces Quest and find Bunny’s Records in The First Descendant
The Restricted Zone in the Sterile Lands becomes accessible only after completing certain story quests, with the main one being the “Successful Infiltration” quest for Sharen. Make sure to progress through these quests to gain access to this area first.
The exact location is south of the ‘High-Powered-Jammer Mission’, we ended up running along the edge of the cliff, and spotting a recording device lying on the ground on one of the cliff faces.
We didn’t encounter any enemies during our search, so you should be able to focus on finding the location without any hassle.
Once you’ve found it, head into the menu and locate your journal. Inside, you’ll see a recording folder where the “Emergency Communication Record – Agent Cayden Voltia” log will be playable.
Here’s a quick rundown of all the steps needed to complete the quest:
- Unlock the Restricted Zone: Complete the “Successful Infiltration” quest to gain access to the Restricted Zone in the Sterile Lands.
- Navigate to the Location: Head south from the facility, near the high-powered jammer.
- Search the Cliff’s Edge: Thoroughly search the edge of the cliff until you locate the Recording Device.
- Access the Journal: Open the menu, go to your journal, and find the recordings folder. Play the “Emergency Communication Record – Agent Cayden Voltia” log.
