What is the release date for the console versions of The First Descendant? The title’s crossplay open beta went live in late September 2023, ahead of its launch which targets the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 as well as PC and last-gen consoles.
The First Descendant is currently slated to benefit from a simultaneous release across all platforms. This means that, regardless if you’re still holding onto your last-gen console or have purchased a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, you will be able to play Nexon’s upcoming third-person shooter.
When is The First Descendant Releasing on PS5 and Xbox?
Unfortunately, the publisher has yet to share concrete details about The First Descendant’s PS5 and Xbox release date.
While the game’s development is certainly progressing, as shown by the several beta tests hosted so far, we don’t even have a release window for the title yet.
- The First Descendant Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 Release Date: TBA
Although it’s hard to estimate when we might see the full version launch, we hopefully don’t have too long a wait ahead of us.
The several beta tests hosted so far would normally indicate that the game is nearing a state in which it’s ready to be released to the public.
With a bit of luck, the crossplay open beta will go well and we’ll hear more about The First Descendant’s Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 release date in the coming weeks and months.
Regardless of when that might happen, we’ll update this thread as soon as we learn more details.
