Set in an alternative version of the 1500s during which the Christian faith is brutally enforced by a cadre of ruthless individuals, The Inquisitor infuses a serving of the supernatural into its tale of violence and revenge. Whether you’re a fan of Jacek Piekara’s popular book series, which inspired the game, or had your curiosity piqued by its darker tone, chances are that you want to know what the title’s release time and price might be alongside the platforms on which you can buy it.
Stepping into the shoes of one Mordimer Madderdin, an inquisitor who has been given free rein to decide the fate of transgressors, it’s up to us to decide whether we’ll show mercy when dealing with Koeningsberg’s sinners or opt for swift retribution.
The Inquisitor Price and Release Times
The Inquisitor is slated to launch on February 8, 2024, when it arrives on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. You can buy its console versions from their respective storefronts, linked above, while their PC counterpart is available through Steam.
The only information regarding its release time currently comes from its PlayStation Store page, which suggests it will go live at 5 AM GMT.
Steam will allow us to estimate when exactly the game launches on the day but, in the absence of official word from the publisher, we’ll have to wait and see if the PS Store data is correct.
As far as The Inquisitor’s price goes we’ll have to look at its two confirmed editions.
Publisher Kalypso Media has told us that the standard edition will cost £34.99/$39.99/€39.99 when it launches next week.
The pricier Deluxe Edition will set you back £44.99/$49.99/€49.99, although it does sweeten the deal by adding a digital compendium, the game’s original soundtrack, alongside the in-game Grandmaster’s Attire.
That covers what you need to know about The Inquisitor’s platforms, release time, and price. It’s not long now until we’ll take to the streets of Koenigstein to enforce The Holy Law as we see fit.
