Creative Assembly today teased the announcement trailer for Total War: Warhammer 3’s upcoming 6.0 DLC through a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that suggests it will be unveiled in just two days’ time.
Bringing new content for Khorne, Greenskins, and the Ogre Kingdoms, the DLC will be accompanied by the major 6.0 update, which is bound to introduce a host of changes and additions, including new hero Arbaal the Undefeated.
Total War: Warhammer 3 6.0 DLC Announcement Trailer
The teaser post itself runs for seven seconds, giving us a first look at what’s likely going to be the key art for Warhammer 3’s 6.0 DLC, which hasn’t been given an official name yet.
It appears to depict the three new Legendary Lords that are set to be introduced – U’Zhul the Skulltaker, Golgfag Maneater, and Gorbad Ironclaw – posing against a fittingly fiery/icy/grey background.
In the center, a video editing software window sets the “estimated time remaining” to two days, while in-universe progress messages are shown just beneath.
While I’m not 100% sure how one goes about installing a WAAAGH or ascending to Daemonhood by using editing software, the prospect of having Warhammer 3’s 6.0 DLC revealed on or around Tuesday, November 26, does sound exciting.
This is the second major release since the developer began its efforts to course-correct following the divisive launch of Shadows of Change and comes after one DLC and several updates that have been well-received by fans.
Predictably, the announcement trailer tease doesn’t include many other details, but we expect that to change in the weeks to come.
At the least, we should learn the name of Warhammer 3’s 6.0 DLC and see the three races receiving more attention, either through dedicated blog posts or videos, provided the developer goes about its pre-launch marketing efforts in its usual manner.
With a bit of luck, perhaps we’ll even get to dig into the new content during the holidays.
