After teasing an announcement for it during the weekend, publisher Sega and Creative Assembly today revealed that Total War: Warhammer 3’s Omens of Destruction DLC has locked down its release date to December 12, 2024.
Accompanied by the free 6.0 update, the DLC introduces new legendary lords, units, and mechanics for Khorne, Greenskins and the Ogre Kingdoms while raising the number of playable legendary lords across the whole trilogy to a whopping 100.
Total War: Warhammer 3 - Omens of Destruction DLC Release Date
The first legendary lord introduced with Total War: Warhammer 3 - Omens of Destruction DLC is none other than Skulltaker, the Hero Slayer. An immortal champion of Khorne and the greatest of all Bloodletters, his Cloak of Skulls mechanic grants “powerful new abilities and traits” as he defeats enemy lords.
As potent a duelist as he is, Skulltaker is backed up by two new legendary heroes – Skarr Bloodwrath and Skyla Anfingrimm – alongside the new Bloodspeaker, Slaughterbrute, Bloodbeasts, Wrathmongers, Skullreapers, and Khorngor units.
On greener pastures, Gorbad Ironclaw, The Brutal Unifier gathers the Greenskinks around his banner. His campaign feature, Da’ Plan, sees him using his “rare mix of brain and brawn,” to “experiment with unique battle strategies for his armies” to obtain “exotic battle bonuses and army compositions that can overcome any challengers.”
Charging into his foes atop his Warboar, Gnarla, Gorbad can buff his troops, making new units like the legendary hero Snagla Grobspit, Savage Orc Great Shaman, Night Goblin Big Boss, Black Orc (Axe & Shield), Mangler Squiqs, Colossal Squig, Arachnarok (Flinger), and Bolt Throwa more potent in battle.
When Total War: Warhammer III - Omens of Destruction releases, the Ogre Kingdoms get to tap into their mercenary nature yet again as Golgfag Maneater enters the fray.
Filling his pouches by completing mercenary contracts for anyone willing to pay, he is described as an “anti-infantry blender” in battle. His abilities are complemented by legendary hero Bragg the Gutsman, alongside the Ogre Paymaster, Bruiser, Golgfag’s Maneaters, Pigback Riders, Blood Vultures, Yhetees, and Thundertusk units.

Creative Assembly will likely explore each race in greater detail in the weeks leading up to the release of Total War: Warhammer III’s newest DLC.
