Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly have announced that they are currently working on a patch that will address the performance issues some players have been experiencing since the release of Total War: Warhammer 3’s update 3.0.
Provided everything goes according to plan, Warhammer 3’s next patch is currently planned to go live at some point next week.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Update 3.0 Performance Issues
“We’re aware of players experiencing performance issues with Total War: WARHAMMER III since Update 3.0,” reads a tweet from the official Total War account. “We’re working on a patch to address these, which we’re aiming to deploy next week. Thanks for your patience!”
The developer didn’t delve into specific changes at this point in time. Judging by the wording used, this could be a smaller patch, instead of the highly-anticipated update 3.1.
Even so, performance is a fairly important aspect, especially given how things can snowball going into the later stages of a campaign. It’s certainly good to hear that affected players might soon get a fix for these issues.
After this Total War: Warhammer 3 patch goes live, hopefully addressing update 3.0’s performance issues, more content is scheduled to launch throughout the remainder of 2023.
It’s all a bit vague at the moment, but you can get caught up by checking out our roadmap article.
Total War: Warhammer III is available now on PC. Its most recent DLC introduces the brutal and versatile Chaos Dwarfs as a playable race.
