Valorant’s Error Code 43 has been a nuisance for players since beta, rendering them unable to connect to matches and start playing the free-to-play first-person shooter. It pops up fairly frequently, too, which makes encountering it particularly unpleasant, especially how progressing through the Battlepass and unlocking all those goodies takes a bit of time.
This guide aims to clear up what the Valorant Error Code 43 means and whether or not there’s a fix or potential workaround that can get you past it and back into the game.
The full error text accompanying Valorant’s Error Code 43 reads as follows “There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client.”
Developer Riot Games notes that “a system has timed out” when it appears. Thankfully, it also provides a fix that’s as simple as restarting the game client.
If that doesn’t do much, it might be worth restarting your PC altogether. Unfortunately, if this also proves fruitless, the shooter’s servers might have some issues of their own, in which case you’ll have to wait for the developer to step in and fix things.
