Playable clans in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2’s are central to both character development and the game’s lore, shaping your character’s abilities and beliefs. Together with the factions that dwell in the game’s nocturnal Seattle, they create the complex social landscape you must traverse in the narrative.
Your selection of clans and factions in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will significantly influence potential friendships or rivalries, as well as your strategies for forging alliances and overcoming adversaries.
As a new developer takes the helm, expect a refreshed take on these crucial elements, with details set to be unveiled starting November 2023.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Clans
Publisher Paradox Interactive has confirmed that, at launch, we can expect four playable Bloodlines 2 clans. Two more will be introduced as DLC, rounding off the RPG’s varied offerings.
According to an article on the publisher’s website, one of the playable DLC clans gives us “a new way to experience the main-game” while the other offers “a completely unique Seattle story.”
Brujah
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2’s first playable clan has now been revealed as the Brujah.
Described as the “learned clan, the clan of radicals, the clan commonly misjudged as punks looking for trouble,” its members are “guided by passion and dedication to an ideal.”
Instead of skulking in the shadows, Bloodlines 2’s Brujah clan thrives on the frontline where their “brutal melee playstyle” shines.
Although their disciplines (abilities) have yet to be fully detailed, a video shows one of them to be a charge that allows characters to “gain a burst of momentum, grab an enemy, drag them with you and body slam them into a wall.”
If you fancy dealing with issues straightforwardly that are also up close and personal, you’re likely to resonate with the Brujah.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Factions
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2’s factions remain shrouded in mystery at the moment.
Developer The Chinese Room has yet to detail its approach towards them, so we don’t know how big of a role they’ll play in its take on the troubled sequel.
While it’s probably safe to speculate that The Camarilla will appear in some form, we’ll have to wait until 2024 to learn more about the topic.
That covers what we’ve learned so far about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2’s playable clans and factions.
As more and more information gets shared over the coming months, we should, in time, get the full picture regarding our options at launch and beyond.
