The Koronus Expanse waits to be explored when Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader launches and, should you plan on tackling the massive cRPG alongside a friend, you may be wondering if crossplay counts among its supported features.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader cross-platform support would take down all the barriers that could potentially affect its confirmed co-op mode, allowing players to experience its story and help each other out in battle regardless of their choice of system.

Unfortunately, it looks like Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader crossplay won’t be available at launch, at least not at its full capacity.
The feature isn’t mentioned on the RPG’s Steam page while its marketing campaign has focused on different aspects so far.

That being said, earlier in November 2023, developer Owlcat Games chimed in on the matter while addressing the possibility of cross-launcher multiplayer.
“It should be possible,” Community Manager OwlcatStarrok wrote on Reddit. “We’re still in the process of testing it though.”
When asked about cross-platform play between Xbox and Steam, they answered with the following:
“On launch there will be no co-op on consoles, but we have plans to add it later along with crossplay option.”
Although Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader crossplay won’t be immediately available at launch, a post-launch update could still introduce the feature.
If and when that happens is a question only the developers can answer, but we’ll likely hear more on it as we get closer to its release date.
That is what we know so far about Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader cross-platform support. The cRPG is due out on December 7, 2023, arriving on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
