Publisher and developer Developer Owlcat Games isn’t resting on its laurels, deploying yet another small update for the sprawling grimdark RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Patch 1.2.1.26 takes aim at a handful of issues pertaining to quests and general pacing, making the Lord Captain’s journey a bit smoother while offering a needed opportunity for respite.
Aside from preparing the ground for patch 1.3, which is still a bit away, Rogue Trader’s patch 1.2.1.26 tackles a rare bug that could see players obtaining Kibellah’s second quest in Act II, rather than the intended Act IV.

In addition, it also fixes an issue that could cause several quests and dialogues to break when warp events triggered while they were also active. At least one Chaos God is certainly not too thrilled about this one.
The third and final change gives us “a bit more time to catch their breath after Act III before triggering the Void Shadows Act IV content.”
The full Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader patch 1.2.1.26 notes are available on Steam. As Owlcat Games continues to fix issues big and small, the studio is also working on the second planned DLC for its RPG.
Whether or not the title will grow even further is up to how well the first two pieces of downloadable content are received, as Community Manager OwlcatStarrok noted last month.
While we wait, PC players can give the newly-added Grim Darkness mode, which significantly ramps up the challenge, a shot. And, if you’re hopping back in for a new playthrough, our article covering the best custom portraits might just have the perfect pick for your newest character.
