Publisher and developer Ubisoft has shared more details about Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode and Season Pass ahead of the game’s launch later this month.
Although Watch Dogs: Legion will release without an online mode, a free update scheduled for December 3 will introduce it to all owners of the open world action-adventure title.
Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode update will allow up to four players to team up and freely roam through London while introducing new missions and a PvP mode.
Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass and Online Mode Details
Here is a full breakdown of what you can expect from Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode update:
- Free-roam open-world co-op where players can team up with their friends for up to four-player co-op and explore the city of London and participate in side activities
- New co-op missions for two-to-four players using new co-op gameplay mechanics and giving players the opportunity to recruit the perfect team
- Four-player co-op Tactical Ops missions which will require teamwork and efficiency
- The first available Player-vs-Player (PvP) mode, Spiderbot Arena, where four-to-eight players control armed spiderbots and compete in a high intensity free-for-all deathmatch
As far as the Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass is concerned, Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs 2’s Wrench alongside two new faces will join Aiden Pearce as playable characters in the paid post-launch Bloodline storyline.
Where Mina is capable of mind controlling enemies due to her past as a subject of transhuman experiments, Darcy joins the fold as a member of the Assassin Order in a crossover with the Assassin’s Creed series.
The Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass is available as part of the game’s Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Editions and will also introduce three new Dedsec stories and a Dedsec car skin. Owners will also get access to the original game’s Complete Edition.
Watch Dogs: Legion is set to launch on October 29 and is headed to PC, via the Epic Games Store and Uplay, Xbox One, PS4 and Google Stadia. Next-gen console launches will follow in November.
