Who would’ve thought that Ark: Survival Evolved would receive a massive overhaul, featuring improved visuals, character models, realistic environments, new battle royale mode, and so much more thanks to the Unreal Engine 5, but here we are. The game’s early access is already playable via Steam on PC, but when will it be coming to PS5 and PS4? If you’re wondering when the ARK: Survival Ascended will be released on PS5 and PS4, here’s everything you need to know.
ARK: Survival Ascended PS5 and PS4 Release Date
Despite the game just recently being launched in early access, it seems that PlayStation players don’t have to wait very long to experience dino taming and even build their own base in Ark: Survival Ascended. According to Studio Wildcard’s update on Steam, Ark: Survival Ascended is scheduled to be released for PlayStation at the end of November.
Unfortunately, there’s a catch. Ark: Survival Ascended will only be available for PS5, leaving old gen PS4 players in the dark. Despite that, the game will be supporting crossplay with Steam and Xbox on Day One, with console-specific servers being added down the line.
It’s also likely that the console version will be more optimized and provide better performance, given that the PC platform optimization is rather complex compared to consoles.
At the time of writing, the exact release date for the PS5 platform has yet to be announced. However, the developer promises that they’ll be able to share a date very soon. We’ll update this section once more information is available.
