Will Dynasty Warriors: Origins be available on Xbox Game Pass? The evergreen Dynasty Warriors franchise will be back in mass-brawling action next year, with Dynasty Warriors: Origins coming to current-gen consoles and PC on January 17, 2025.
The latest game in the decades-old series once again focuses on a retelling of the Three Kingdoms saga and provides us with a new nameless amnesiac protagonist to experience it through. With the protagonist having no existing connections to the many exuberant personalities and fearsome leaders fans know and love, it offers up an intriguing new dynamic to this seasoned franchise veteran.
There’s still a perception that Dynasty Warriors entries are largely the same thing every time, and while there’s a crumb of truth in that (the musou formula works, so why deviate too far, right?), there’s plenty of variety from game to game with recent entries. But if you were on the fence about Dynasty Warriors: Origins you might be wondering if it will get an Xbox Game Pass Release so you can check it out if you are subscribed.
Is Dynasty Warriors: Origins Coming to Game Pass?
As it stands, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have yet to confirm an Xbox Game Pass release for Dynasty Warriors: Origins. It seems unlikely that it will be announced as a Game Pass title at launch because we’re relatively close to that January 2025 launch.
However, that doesn’t rule out Dynasty Warriors: Origins coming to Game Pass later in 2025 or beyond. Looking at it somewhat cynically, even that could be unlikely as there’s not much history of Dynasty Warriors games landing on the service in the past. Still, there’s a first time for everything!
