EA Sports WRC is releasing on 3rd November 2023 for the PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, but is it going to support crossplay between these platforms?
Electronic Arts has only just officially confirmed the multiplayer details around EA Sports WRC, although there’s some conflicting information that we’re going to try and clear up. Yes, EA Sports WRC does support cross-platform multiplayer, via its clubs and league tables, and now finally between direct races online with up to 32 players.
Will EA Sports WRC Support Crossplay?
EA Racenet, EA’s companion racing app, enables Clubs to function as community-driven hubs that offer custom multi-surface tournaments, allowing rallying at any location and time of year. Alongside tailor-made events, the ‘Moments’ feature, updated daily in-game, lets players experience key scenarios from the 2023 season as well as iconic events from the sport’s history.
You can participate in these events to log the quickest race times and compete with players across various platforms. PC players will be able to engage in direct multiplayer matches with Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 players.
Similarly, Xbox Series X/S users will have the option to race against those on PlayStation 5, and vice versa. Players on both the Epic Games Store and Steam should be compatible with console players too.</b>
EA Sports WRC is going to be released on the PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 on 3rd November. Players can get early access to the game by pre-ordering, opening it up slightly earlier on the 31st of October.
