The galaxy is in peril, but there’s never been a better time to be a Space Marine. Will Space Marine 2 support Crossplay across all platforms with it now finally available? Let’s see if we can find out for the good of all humankind.
Focus Entertainment recently revealed, in collaboration with developer Saber Interactive, that Space Marine 2 will feature a co-op mode for up to three players. You can squad up and fight with your friends during the game’s campaign.
Crossplay would allow you to team up regardless of what platform you own, and we can confirm that it will be supported on launch, according to Yann François, the Creative Producer at Focus Entertainment.
Saber Interactive has now confirmed Crossplay on its official channels, and we’ve seen the option for it during the review process in the menu settings. You can turn it off if you wish.
Space Marine 2 Crossplay Support
Space Marine 2 is set to be released on September 9th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It would be great to see this core player base able to join together using cross-play at launch, as it would make matchmaking much easier by pooling the player base.
Space Marine 2 creative Producer Yann François confirmed in an interview with us back in May 2024 that Crossplay will be supported for Space Marine 2 on launch.
Here’s a short snippet from our Q&A session with the Space Marine 2 development team, which confirms crossplay.
Crossplay was confirmed by Yann François, the Creative Producer at Focus Entertainment, who was also present during our call with Oliver Hollis-Leick. “We can confirm that crossplay will be developed and incorporated into the game”, Hollis-Leick then replied saying “Great”.
