A new season of World of Tanks’ Battle Pass is on the horizon, and it’s a special one because Wargaming is teaming up with Warhammer 40,000. Battle Pass Season VIII will see the rise of the Ultramarines, the Death Guard, and the Evil Sunz Orks, all found in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Players will get the chance to represent their favorite faction with special camouflage for their tanks. The supported factions right now where players can get matching camouflages are All Shall Rot, Courage and Honour, and Red ‘uns go Faster!
How many chapters will Battle Pass Season VIII support?
According to the folks at Wargaming, the new season will feature three primary chapters with each of them containing 50 stages. Players can complete the stages in any order they see fit, and to make things even more interesting, every chapter will feature a 3D style inspired by the factions we’ve mentioned above for all core vehicles of the season.
This approach is quite different from what Wargaming has done in the past, and it is clearly affected by the prestige of the Warhammer 40,000 franchise.
What will players get for completing each chapter?
From our understanding, the plan here is to reward World of Tanks players with a Warhammer 40,000 commander whenever they complete a chapter, and this commander is designed to fly the flag of each faction on top of supported tanks.
There are also 2D styles and other customization elements for each faction in the game, so if you’re a fan, then making it to the end is very important in order to collect all goodies.
“We’re excited to collaborate with and bring the 40k universe into World of Tanks, and we’re sure our players will be equally thrilled, too,” states Max Chuvalov, Publishing Director, World of Tanks. “Just like Warhammer 40,000, battles are about strategy, understanding your role in the arena, and how you can work together to secure the victory.”
When can we expect to play Battle Pass Season VIII?
The season begins in June of this year and will run until the end of August of the same year. So as it stands, World of Tanks players and fans of Warhammer 40,000 will have enough time to collect everything there is to collect in the game during the season.
Earn more Battle Pass Points
Here’s the thing, while playing in Tier VI-X vehicles, World of Tanks players can earn Battle Pass Points but only if they play in Random Battles and avoid Grand Battles at all times. Obviously, you are required to perform well on the battlefield to earn, the same as it has always been.
Additionally, World of Tanks players can improve on the amount of Battle Pass Points they earn by completing daily missions available for vehicles of all tiers.
