World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has reliably given us new reasons to adventure throughout Azeroth since launch. This steady stream of new content won’t stop any time soon, either, as the Seeds of Renewal update’s reveal now has everyone wondering about when patch 10.2.5’s release date might occur.
WoW: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.5 release date is bound to make Dragonriding, the latest expansion’s newest method of traversal, available worldwide, while lending players a hand (or more) as they’re leveling their way through normal dungeons.

The update first made its way to the PTR on November 17, 2023, giving us a first look at the changes coming our way.
WoW: Dragonflight’s Seeds of Renewal updates enables Dragonriding throughout Azeroth. Wherever flying is normally available, mounts capable of using the new approach to traversal will fly at 85% speed of their usual speed, although the exact value may change.
Azerothian Archives is a new feature that explores the history of the Dragon Isles while allowing us “to meet a unique cast of characters, hear stories of old, and witness the iconography of a time before.”
It comes in the shape of an hourly public event that adds both solo and group activities in Traitor’s Rest, seeing players head out to specific sites across the world in search of Finds.
Helping the NPCs not only uncovers details about Azeroth’s past but also offers rewards that include the Clayscale Hornstrider and Explorer’s Stonehide Packbeast mounts, battle pets, transmog sets, and various cosmetic items.
WoW: Dragonflight 10.2.5 also sees us helping King Greymane retake the kingdom of Gilneas which, unsurprisingly, “isn’t as empty as expected.”
WoW: Dragonflight 10.2.5 Follower Dungeons
Another notable addition in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.5 comes in the shape of follower dungeons.
When attempting the expansion’s eight original dungeons (Ruby Life Pools, Nokhud Offensive, Brackenhide Hollow, Halls of Infusion, Algeth’ar Academy, Neltharus, The Azure Vault, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr) on normal difficulty, we can now enlist the aid of NPC companions that fill the roles of tank, healer, and DPS.
They scale from 1 to 4 players, being available to both solo adventurers and groups. They also sound ideal for players who are still learning how this side of PvE works, while offering the same rewards as normal dungeons completed with a full group would.
Initially, a limit will be imposed, allowing a maximum of ten follower dungeons to be started each day per account.
The Outland Cup then adds thirteen new Dragonriding races, while new customization options are also on the way.
Trolls have access to five new hair colors, while the Draenei, Warlock Tyrant, and Darkglare demons are set to receive their own unique customization options.
Furthermore, completionists can look forward to customization Achievements.
WoW: Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.5 sees the Night Elves constructing their new home of Bel’ameth in the Dragon Isles. In addition, remaining class talents that used to be Covenant abilities during the Shadowlands expansion have had their spell visuals updated, to better match their class’ visual kit.
Other class changes are also planned. The Mistweaver Monk has had its Dance of the Wind redesigned to increase dodge change by 10% initially, then provide an additional 10% every 4 seconds until you dodge an attack. Several of the specialization’s abilities have also been renamed.
An option will be added further down the line to enable reverting to the old visuals. The Revival Catalyst’s Renascent Dream charges are now granted weekly rather than every other week, while the instance difficulty banner skull icon art has been updated.
In terms of UI and accessibility, appearance items obtained from quest rewards now come with an attached chat message.
Toast notifications, like those pertaining to Great Vault unlocks, can be immediately dismissed with a right click, while the Edit Mode’s Frame Snapping is set to receive improvements that make using it a bit smoother.
You can find the full PTR patch notes over on the official forums.
