It introduces the Emerald Dream as a new zone that houses a new raid called Amirdrassil, The Dream’s Hope.
The latter pits us against nine bosses, including a Dragonriding encounter and a battle against Fyrakk at the very top of the World Tree.
New class armor sets are also on the way, as is a variety of class changes and tweaks. On top of that, Rogue and Demon Hunter talents will receive updates as well.
A new legendary two-handed axe weapon will also be added, while the Blood Elf race is getting new customization options.
The expansion’s story will also progress, focusing on our efforts to thwart Fyrakk’s plans, while the new area also houses a new faction named The Dream Wardens, with which we can gain Renown.
New public events are also on the way and WoW: Dragonflight’s Patch 10.2 adds a set of three that “feed into each other,” according to the developer.
The Superbloom revolves around “following Sprucecrown, an Ancient, as it spreads the bloom, helping it complete its purpose by fighting off enemies and assisting with various tasks.”
An hourly event, according to PTR notes, it offers a larger weekly reward alongside a few extras, based on the level of Bloom reached. The latter also determines the strength of the next event.
During the Emerald Frenzy, “a sapling appears, and champions are encouraged to collect items to help usher in the Emerald Bounty. Here, defenders test their green thumbs by encouraging a seed to grow and gain rewards for the efforts once the seed blooms.”
Dragonriding will be available in Guardians of the Dream from day one. We’ll have three new traits, glyphs, and customization options to chase alongside new races to complete.
In addition, the Faerie Dragon is a new Dragonriding mount we can earn. On the World Boss front, Aurostor the Hibernating awaits, prepared to dish out rewards to players who can best this grumpy bear, recently awoken from his slumber.
The Mythic+ dungeon pool will get refreshed, featuring eight of dungeons from the current and past expansions such as Cataclysm and Legion.
Given how it is a major update, this means that PvP fans have Season 3 to look forward to, offering new rewards for those brave enough to step inside the arena.
Blizzard has also shared a new in-game cinematic that features Fyrakk starting his assault on the Emerald Dream.
That is what you need to know about World of Warcraft’s patch 10.2 release date and the content it is set to introduce. For more on the MMORPG, check out when the weekly reset occurs.
