Publisher Super.com has revealed a new teaser trailer for their upcoming tactical RPG-strategy game set in World War II, Broken Lines. The trailer shows off one of the eight main characters in the game, Rosie Connor.
Rosie Connor relates how she was raised by her father to be a self-sufficient hunter, but also a loner with no friends outside of her immediate family. When war strikes, the ones she loves are killed. She finds herself in Eastern Europe in 1944 in the middle of nowhere with a team of fighters with whom there is considerable friction.
The timing of the trailer for the 75h anniversary of the landing of Normandy was important to developer Portaplay. “June the 6th marks the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, and on this day alone, over 4000 allied soldiers gave their lives for the freedom of Europe,” stated the developer’s creative director Hans von Knut Skovfoged, “With so many people giving up their lives in just a single day, we wanted to release our trailer today to remind everyone that behind every soldier there is a person with their own unique reason to fight.”
Broken Lines will be released in late 2019. Gamers can check the game’s Steam page here.
