XDefiant marks Ubisoft’s continued foray into free-to-play first-person shooter territory and its first serious challenger to Call of Duty’s throne. The title’s open beta gives anyone interested a chance to try it out prior to launch, and, as with all limited-time tests, keeping track of its end date is vital.
XDefiant’s open beta only lasts for a few days, so you’ll definitely want to be quick if you plan on seeing for yourself what all the hype surrounding it is about.
When does the XDefiant Open Beta End?
XDefiant’s open beta has locked down its start date and time to June 21, 2023 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/6 PM BST. Its end date is set to occur on June 23, 2023 at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET/7 AM BST.
- XDefiant open beta start date: June 21, 2023
- XDefiant open beta end date: June 23, 2023
Ubisoft has yet to announce the specific closure time for the beta, although some server issues were encountered during the testing period. This may potentially lead to an extension of the beta, but we will continue to update you if we hear anything.
Available to all interested players on PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PS5, this test comes with new netcode that acts as“a complete rework of how the server and client talk to each other and prioritize messaging.” |
The team behind the game has also worked on improving server stability alongside a series of other changes that you can find detailed in this blog post.
Although three days isn’t a lot of time, XDefiant’s open beta start and end dates should be enough to decide whether or not you’ll jump into the game when its proper launch comes around.
If it proves to be a worthy competitor in the 6v6 arcade FPS arena, it will be interesting to see if and how Call of Duty’s developers respond.
