KOEI TECMO’s Warriors: All-Stars May Be The Closest PC Gamers Will Get To A Nioh Release
Warriors All-Stars is the very first franchise crossover title from Koei Tecmo, combining the all-action hack-and-slash gameplay of the Dynasty Warriors series with characters from franchises including Nioh, Dead or Alive, Atelier, Ninja Gaiden, Nights of Azure and, of course, the various Dynasty Warriors games - although sadly not Hyrule Warriors for obvious reasons.
For anyone who’s not played a Dynasty Warriors game, it involves fighting hundreds of enemies to protect key areas and defend where you can, while levelling up your characters. It’s a massive hack-and-slash RPG in other words, and while the series has had many entries at this point they keep selling because it’s fun to take on entire armies as awesome bad-ass hero characters. In Warriors All-Stars progression is based around Hero Cards, which give characters bonus abilities but only one can be equipped at any time. These can be enhanced or sold to make room for better ones.
