8-Bit Hordes brings a fantasy take on accessible RTS action
Let’s get this out of the way first. There’s nothing 8-bit about 8-Bit Hordes. These are voxels. I recognize that the term “8-bit” is catchier and more marketable and all that, but I’m a cranky old man and I demand semantic accuracy. But hey, this is a new RTS from the veterans at Petroglyph, so I guess I can cut them some slack.

8-Bit Armies is a classic RTS in every sense of the word, although you could say it looks like it's been built using the Minecraft Engine, but if there's anyone that knows how to make a decent RTS it's Petroglyph. Made up of many ex-Westwood legends, Petroglyph have already proved themselves with the genre in the modern era, developing titles such as Star Wars: Empire at War, Universe at War and, more recently, Grey Goo.
