UK SFX firm The Mill starts games division, ex-SCEE boss helms

The Oscar-winning special effects company The Mill, based in London's Soho, has started up a videogames division headed by former SCEE man Arran Green. Green and The Mill collaborated on some "fantastic projects" while he was at Sony. They're a "true tour de force" in the VFX world he says; already works in industry.
EA Sports scrap FIFA's Manager Mode, replaced with Career Mode

The 'Manager Mode' introduced by FIFA 10 wasn't well received and so EA Sports have ditched it in favour of a new 'Career Mode' instead. Footballers created in FIFA 11's Creation Centre will be available to manage in Career Mode, which includes leaderboards among friends.
FIFA 11 'redefines authenticity'

EA Sports boasts that FIFA 11 is "set to redefine player authenticity" when it releases this year. It's all thanks to their new Personality+ feature. It "distinguishes" the footballers from each other by "utilizing a database" that analyses and grades their skill-set over "36 attributes and 57 traits."
