Green and The Mill collaborated on some ”fantastic projects” while he was at Sony. They’re a ”true tour de force” in the VFX world he says; already works in industry.
Titles like Bodycount, Killzone 3 and FIFA 10 have been aided by The Mill for their expertise in visual special effects. Now they’ve hired former Sony Europe video boss Arran Green to lead the new gaming division for the company.
They create trailers, in-game assets, cinematics and TV advertisements for videogame developers, publishers and of course marketing teams.
“I’ve been a long term fan of The Mill during my years at Sony, collaborating on some fantastic projects. So I was incredibly excited when I joined them to help with the launch and expansion of their new Gaming Division,” said Arran Green.
“On a personal level, it’s tremendously exciting to be surrounded by such a talented group of people. The Mill is a true tour de force in the world of VFX and I can’t wait to bring that skill and creativity to the greater games industry.”
“So far we have a great team in place and have been lucky to work on some amazing projects for the likes of Codemasters, EA and Sony,” he added.
More pretty game trailers and adverts are a good thing, right? Sure they are.
