"Sadistic circus extravaganza" Penarium out this month

Team17 and Dutch developer Self Made Miracle have announced a September 22 release date for what they call the "fantastically sadistic circus extravaganza", Penarium. That's quite the description. You play a chap called Willy, who's trapped in an insane circus, and forced to platform his way past a series of deathtraps for the amusement of the crowd. You will probably die a lot, as each arena is packed with laser beams, spinning saws, bombs, and all sorts of other fun stuff.
