Prototype's Radical Entertainment "still open" and "creating something cool"
Activision drastically downsized operations at Radical Entertainment shortly after Prototype 2 released. However the studio continues to operate albeit devoid of any "full-scale game development". Community manager Dan Amrich at Activision proclaims they're "creating something cool," despite the cutbacks. It was Prototype 2's inability to find a "broad commercial audience" that did it.
PlayStation Network 4th April update announced for North America
This week's North American PlayStation Update includes five games available for free on PlayStation Plus, as well as the release of Wheels Of Destruction, The Price Is Right Decades and I Am Alive on PSN. Also on PSN this week are demos for Warp and Time Machine, as well as one for I Am Alive. The major downloadable content released for this week include discounts for Mortal Kombat DLC.
Dark Horse announces a Prototype 2-licensed digital comic series
Dark Horse Comics has teamed up with developer Radical Entertainment to release a three issue digital comic book series this February that will bridge Prototype with Prototype 2.
Prototype "completely different" from inFamous, 'space for both'
Radical Entertainment, creator of Prototype, doesn't believe there's a rivalry between their viral-based 'hero' and Suck Punch's electrically charged inFamous. Prototype offers "something completely different" from Infamous, says Radical's Matt Armstrong. They've taken stock of "all the feedback" from fans.
Prototype 2 'imminent' for VGAs
Activision has updated their MurderYourMaker.com teaser site for the Spike Video Game Awards with a short trailer featuring the original Prototype. Three zombie/infected VGA images appeared as teasers and they were all found out to be linked to this Activision site. Prototype 2's reveal almost here.
