Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was a game that set the bar upon its arrival back in 1997 almost 20 years ago. In its time it was the benchmark of what a video game could do when pushed to its limit on the then-current technology. Night Dive Studios has been on a mission to bring Turok back for modern day audiences with an HD remaster of the game and today the studio offered a new trailer and a release date.

The original Turok game came out on N64 in 1997 and was one of the most visually impressive games of its time. Running it on a PC was nigh impossible without a top-of-the-line maxed out rig. Recently, Night Dive Studios has been working on reviving some classic games - Turok 1 and 2 among them - and has some screenshots to share from the project.

Night Dive Studios, specialist in updating and remastering classic games, has announced that it's taking on classic dino-murdering shooters Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Though it seems like nowadays they're best known as N64 games, both titles were actually also released on the PC, in 1997 and 1999 respectively.
