Creating the perfect build for your character in Baldur’s Gate 3 is merely not just about equipping the best weapons and armor. Accessories, while they may be small in size, also play a massive role in synergizing your spells and adding extra effects.
The Spectator Eyes in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an amulet that allows the wielder to cast the Ray of Fear and Wounding Ray, spells that cause your enemies to be frightened, rendering their attacks useless while dealing Necrotic damage. If you want to add this amulet to your accessory slot, ensure you know how to get the Spectator Eyes in BG3.
How to Get the Spectator Eyes in Baldur's Gate 3
Getting your hands on the Spectator Eyes 3 will require you to first defeat the Spectator in the Underdark region. To reach this location, you can either go to one of the hidden entrances in the Shattered Sanctum or the Zhentarim Hideout. Alternatively, you can also use this coordinate X:113 Y:-246 as a reference to take you to the Spectator’s location.
When it comes to defeating the Spectator, the most important thing is to try to maintain your distance, as it is capable of damaging your party members with a wide range of rays that can paralyze and immobilize them.
The annoying thing about this boss is that it will unpetrify Dhourn and Drow and charm them to fight alongside it. So, other than maintaining your distance, you’ll also need to deal with his new allies. We find that it’s more effective to attack Dhourn and Drow twice to break the charm effect and then have them join you to attack the Spectator.
Upon defeating the Spectator, you will be able to loot the Spectator Eyes as a reward. The frightening and Necrotic damage spells you get from this amulet are valuable. The only minor drawback is that you can only use them once a day as these effects require long rest.
