The Resident Evil 4 Remake maintains a chapter system similar to the original game. Each chapter features unique key moments and can vary in size and duration. To complete Leon’s story, players must progress through a total of sixteen chapters.

How Many Chapters are in Resident Evil 4 Remake?
The following chapter list will detail the sixteen episodes in the game, including details on the location, characters and boss fights within them. We hope players find this useful in order to go back and find items and treasures that have been missed.
Chapter 1 - The Village
Leon, accompanied by two local policemen, enters a dreary village in the woods to find the President’s daughter. Of course, it’s not a pleasant place to visit.
Chapter 2 - Ruined Factory/Village
After getting ambushed, Leon must escape imprisonment.
Chapter 3 - Churchyard/Mines
Leon continues his search for Ashley, but his path is obstructed. Looks like he’ll need to find another way.
Chapter 4 - The Lake/Caves
After dealing with an aquatic menace, Leon searches a cave network for the key to finding Ashley.
Chapter 5 - The Church/Village
Finally able to enter the church, Leon finds his objective. But getting out of the church might prove difficult.
Chapter 6 - Village Fort
It’s out of the frying pan and into the fire as Leon faces up to a huge obstacle whilst trying to escape the village with Ashley.
Chapter 7 - Castle Approach
A change of plan sees Leon and Ashley head for a nearby castle. Unfortunately, there’s a rather hostile welcome party ready to greet them.
Chapter 8 - Castle
Leon and Ashley find new threats as they head beyond the castle walls.
Chapter 9 - Maze
A large maze blocks Leon and Ashley’s entry to the castle interior. A deadly puzzle ensues.
Chapter 10 - Castle interior
After being separated, Leon and Ashley must find their way back to each other inside Salazar’s castle.
Chapter 11 - Underground Mines
Now teaming with Luis, Leon must find a way through the deadly mines underneath Salazar’s castle. He’s later reunited with another face from his past.
Chapter 12 - Clock Tower
Leon attempts to reach Salazar before he can perform the ritual. A dangerous clock tower gauntlet will make that difficult.
Chapter 13 - Island Shore
Leon follows old comrade Jack Krauser to a heavily-fortified island full of deadly threats.
Chapter 14 - Island Facility
Leon discovers a facility on the island, and the unholy secrets it holds within.
Chapter 15 - Higher Ground
Still determined to fight through Saddler’s forces, Leon heads to higher ground to rescue Ashley and confront Krauser.
Chapter 16 - The Island: Final Boss/Escape
The climactic showdown between Leon and the head of Los Illuminados.
