Now here's a blast from the past for you. The Death Egg boss from the original Sonic the Hedgehog games is easily one of the most imposing bosses in them. It returns in Sonic Mania, but this mod brings back the original pixel design in its full-fledged old-school glory, complete with re-creations to account for the new Death Egg robot's new abilities in Sonic Mania.
