EA squeak confirmation of Need for Speed: Shift 2, out early 2011

A sequel to Need for Speed: Shift has ever so quietly been announced via EA’s fiscal line-up, noting that Shift 2 will hit Q4 of this financial year.

That’s from January to March 2011 to us in non-fiscal calendar speak. Previously it was online CVs that blew existence of Shift 2; now it’s real.

The LinkedIn profiles hinted that this second entry to the Shift spin-off may contain some story focus in the main career mode. Need for Speed: Shift favours the more realistic racing approach than its predecessors. Shift 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
