This comic-based MMO from Sony Online devs wants 30GB of your HDD space, which is huge compared to World of Warcraft’s 17.5GB.
The US version of Direct2Drive outed the minimum requirements for DC Universe Online, reports IncGamers. 30GB is an awful lot of space for assets to this MMORPG - World of Warcraft with all its updates and add-ons still only comes to 17.5GB.
The game itself doesn’t require a super-powered PC for your virtual super-powered alter ego, which is a saving grace. Here are the alleged PC specs:
• Operating System: Windows XP 32-bit
• Processor: 2.4+ GHZ Dual Core
• RAM: 2 GB
• Video Card: NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+
• Hard Disc Space: 30 GB
A PC exclusive Collector’s Edition has been detailed by SOE, which includes a Batman statue, a limited edition 56-paged art book and a limited edition DC Universe Online: Legends Issue #0 Comic. There’s a few pre-order incentives out there too.
DC Universe Online has recently started up its beta recruitment drive.
