No NHL 2K12 this year

2K Sports won’t be releasing a hockey title for a second straight year, as the company reported during a post-earnings conference call today, Take-Two chief operating officer Karl Slatoff confirmed that they would not not be releasing a new NHL 2K title.

Slatoff announced, ”2K Sports once again does not plan to release a NHL title for consoles this year.”

Last year, 2K Sports released NHL 2K11 for the Wii, but skipped releasing the title for the PC and next-gen consoles. This year, not even a Wii version will be released. Conversely, EA Sports is not releasing an NBA title this year.
