Warner Bros. Interactive has announced the contents of what will be included in Update 9 of The Lord of the Rings Online. Unsurprisingly, many of them deal with the events of The Hobbit, which is being released in theaters this month.
The update features the Riders of Rohan Instance Pack which takes players on the Road to Erebor, where they follow the footsteps of Bilbo Baggins. The pack includes the Webs of the Scuttledells, where Bilbo fought the spiders of Mirkwood with Sting. The Seat of the Great Goblin takes place where Gandalf and the dwarven party slew the Great Goblin, and Iorbar’s Peak, where the dwarven party was flown to by the Eagles as they were rescued from being burned to death by goblins and wargs.
Other features of the update includes Dol Guldur being scaled up to level 85 with tier 2 challenges, and new revamp of Moria, where the Redhorn Lodes, Zelem-Melek, Nud-Melek, and the Flaming Deeps have all received visual updates as well as new and restructured quests.
