After returning to the Steam registry yesterday, Square Enix has officially released Final Fantasy VIII on Steam, optimized for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
This version also includes Magic Booster and Chocobo World which were originally separate apps. The former boosts the players spell inventory by 100, while Chocobo World now boots directly from the launcher if the player fulfills certain specific tasks in the main game, which synchronises the data between the two games.
