Burnout series developer Criterion Games, which developed last year’s Need for Speed: Most Wanted, has been reduced to 16 staff, according to a tweet from creative director Alex Ward.
60-65 members of the staff have started a new development studio Ghost Games UK, which is working on Need for Speed: Rivals.
In the meantime, Criterion will be working on an unannounced non-racing game title. When asked if Criterion is in trouble, Ward replied, ”Not at all. We are backed by a huge and successful wider company, Electronic Arts.”
