As for other members of the studio, ”Most others have moved on from EA,” stated the publisher. However, EA refused to pronounce Danger Close defunct or if DICE LA is replacing Danger Close in Los Angeles, merely stating that employees are working elsewhere at the moment.
DICE LA studio manager Frederick Loving stated when questioned about the events surrounding the studio, “I would not say that we’re going to poach competitors. What I want to say is that we’re definitely looking at the rockstar game developers we know are in the Los Angeles area. That’s part of us being here: We know this town has so much talent. We want that talent.”
DICE LA describes itself as ”We are an extra floor in Stockholm conveniently located in Los Angeles” and as ”an expansion of DICE.”
The studio is suspected of being the mobile division for the Frostbite 3 engine, but neither EA nor DICE LA will confirm nor deny this.
