Bastion’s Supergiant Games is putting together another rather unique adventure with the voice of the narrator carrying over into their new game; Transistor. We play a singer, Red, who has her voice stolen.
Assassins are after her and we come across a curious sword that’s a lot more than it seems. Supergiant has released some gameplay footage showing off their new features for combat.
The footage was shown at PAX East and is almost 16 minutes long. Bastion narrator Logan Cunningham lends his voice to the sword, which narrates our actions.
”Red was a star. Now she is a target,” reads Transistor’s opening sequence. ”Five assassins confront her. But she is not alone. An extraordinary weapon slips free in the commotion. It transports her across the city in an instant. The assassins’ forces spread out in search.” The footage was captured by TotalBiscuit.
Transistor is expected to release in ”early 2014” on platforms yet to be named.
