Take 2 CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed during an investor call today that both BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2 were big earners for the publisher in the past quarter.
According to Zelnick, BioShock Infinite has shipped 4 million units and is expected to become the top-selling entry in the series, especially with three DLC packs coming out for it, including Clash in the Clouds which was released yesterday.
Borderlands 2 has shipped over 7M units, and is on track to be the best-selling game in 2K Games’ history, which may be why the publisher has commissioned more DLC packs from Gearbox.
Interestingly, Strauss gave a special shout out to the iOS version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which he stated proved ”gamers are willing to pay a premium price for premium experience.”
