UK developer Rebellion has advised its social media followers not to buy WWII shooter Sniper Elite V2 this week. Yep, that’s right, a developer is telling you NOT to buy their game.
”We’d advise against buying Sniper Elite V2 on Steam in the next few days,” the studio posted on Facebook , ”but we WOULD advise scoping out potential snipers to play with … news soon.” What could it all mean?
Last Friday Rebellion teased a ‘significant’ announcement for the series that had nothing to do with the upcoming Sniper Elite 3, due out at the end of the month.
Can we expect a remastered version of V2? That line about scoping out potential snipers to play with suggests a multiplayer element, though that was present in the original game.
