Cryptic are getting the old Voyager gang back together for Delta Rising, the latest expansion for Star Trek Online. Seven of Nine, Neelix, the Doctor, Harry Kim and Tuvok will all be making an appearance.
I know, it’s not quite Kirk or Picard, but still some familiar faces that fans of the show will enjoy meeting up with.
All of those guest stars will be played by their respective actors from Star Trek Voyager - that’s Jeri Ryan, Ethan Phillips, Robert Picardo, Garrett Wang and Tim Russ. Exactly what role they’ll play is unclear, but Delta Rising takes players to the Delta Quadrant – ”a mysterious region of space recently made easily accessible through an ancient Iconian gateway”.
There you’ll come across mysterious alien races and explore uncharted zones, and fight alongside famous U.S.S Voyager personnel against an unknown enemy. Star Trek Online takes place 32 years after the Voyager TV show, so fans will probably be interested to see what’s been going on with their heroes (and Neelix) since then.
Delta Rising is expected out in October. Cryptic promise to reveal more about each Voyager crew member soon.
