Liked the first two Orc Must Die! games? Don’t feel like you’ve quite massacred enough orcs yet? Here’s some good news for you then, the Orcs Must Die! Unchained closed beta will launch on June 27.
During the game’s beta period the developers are promising the addition of ”a whole new map, three additional heroes and the innovative deck editing system, which allows players to create the best possible combination of traps and creatures.”
Orcs Must Die! Unchained swaps the largely singleplayer and co-operative focus of previous entries in the series for free-to-play action-oriented PvP battles. With several different heroes to choose from, multiple players on each team and two armies of minions clashing together, it sounds kind of like a mix between the original games’ tower defense approach and some classic MOBA elements.
You can sign up for the closed beta here. If you’re up for spending a little (or a lot of) cash to secure your beta key, you can instead buy into a founder’s pack programme, with three increasingly pricey levels that will net you various goodies when the full game is released.
